As I drive into work I listen to the newest Christmas CD my kids gave me for my birthday. I sing along and sometimes I get a little choked up. Christmas makes me sad, not in a bad way. I miss family members who have long since passed but would have made this time of year so very special if they were still here.
I think when I feel this way it's kind of like I'm making a connection from my heart directly to them on the other side. I feel the love they hold for me and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are always with me protecting and guiding me. Keeping me from harm and quietly leading me on this path I am on. Christmas for me is an emotional time of year, just typing about it I feel the emotions welling within.
Every year I stress and struggle to make sure it's a great Christmas for my kids. Every year by the grace of God it happens just so. Yet I wonder sometimes how different it would be if certain individuals, both here and gone, were still part of my life. I wonder if it would make the season that much better. Is it the best it will be, as it is? It has to be. It's the memories created for my kids. The really sad part is my kids don't have the same connection to Christmas I have. They don't really understand the real meaning behind all that we do at this time of year. I have no one but myself to blame for this, well, myself and their dad.
Neither of us felt it right to impose our religious up bringing on our kids. We were both raised Catholic, and while I don't have the same negative memories of being raised that way I agreed with my husband that our children will have the opportunity to choose for themselves. What that means is that they are raised devoid of religion. They understand somewhat the preface behind most religions, they have been informed of various modalities. They know what I believe in, they know what their father believes.
They have no beliefs themselves. They have not been taught or guided properly. Because of this, they have no real concept of Christmas except that their parents get stress out, and they get gifts. I'm very sorry for them having this concept of the meaning of Christmas. I've tried to explain it, but it's like explaining how butter is made, really of no interest. Maybe when they are parents and the magic of Christmas is alive in their children will they understand that this is bigger and deeper than they could have imagined.
Until that day, I will continue to instill in them the spirit of Christmas and the importance it holds, not for the gifts but for the connections to family and a higher power. Maybe, just maybe they will feel what I feel at this time of year and really embrace the celebration it is meant to be.

Gut Instinct
We all have it, that nagging sensation in the pit of our stomach telling us somethings not right. That's your Solar Plexus Chakra acting up. Telling you "not a good idea" what ever it is you're planning.
Our bodies are full of chakras but there are seven most commonly known and used in meditation to help balance the body mind and soul. I'm just talking about the solar plexus chakra, situated right under your rib cage in the centre of your abdomen.
The colour associated with solar plexus chakra is yellow. It's responsible for mental understanding of emotional life, in it's most basic definition. It's your gut instinct your intuition, when you feel it pay attention because it's trying to tell you something. If a situation doesn't sit well with you then don't proceed. The job of the solar plexus chakra is to keep us from getting in over our heads and it does it's job well, if you listen.
It can also warn you of events up coming. I remember when my grandfather died, he had a heart attack the night before and all that day I had an unmistakable feeling of dread centered in my solar plexus chakra. I knew something bad was going to happen I just didn't know what. Sure enough I got a call in the middle of the night with the bad news. The feeling vanished soon after I hung up the phone and my heart chakra kicked in.
When I was taking my mediumship training we did a lot of work with chakras every meditation. It got to the point where I could pick up on other peoples issues within my own chakras. I recall standing in line at Rogers Video and the guy in front of me had an arm full of videos. He was in front of me but took a step back suddenly into my personal space. For me that's about a two foot radius. Immediately my solar plexus felt icky. I went in right away to have a look and I visualized a putrid yellow egg shape with brown splotches all over it.
Knowing this wasn't good I set to work clearing it. Sending the brown splotches to the universe and polishing the yellow until it shone. I felt better quickly but was concerned that I had done this without consulting the guy in front of me, after all it was caused by his chakra. I asked my trainer later that week when I saw her and she explained that sometimes we have to do these things because of the physical effect on us personally. Normally yes I should ask, but in this case it wasn't possible and the out come of the cleansing would serve to help him not hurt him.
We surmised from his greasy disheveled appearance and the stack of videos that he probably need more than just his solar plexus cleansed but that's all I could fix. I just hope it did even if for a little while, I'll never know. I felt better for it afterwards so I assume he did too.
Needless to say, listening to your gut is so very important. Recently I made very big life decision based on how my solar plexus chakra was acting leading up to said decision. When I really assessed the situation and changed my direction with it everything settled down and began to "feel" right. And every day since it's been really good. I'm confident that the direction I had originally chose would have spelt disaster for not only me but those closest to me. Making this change and following my gut was the best decision I have made in a really long time.
Listening is not hard, following through is the though one. If you feel sick to your stomach because of a decision you need to make, think about the same decision in reverse or opposite to what you are planning and check in to see how your solar plexus is responding. If it feels better, that's the right decision no matter if it's what you think you want. Sometimes our brains are not the best judge of what's good for us. Sometimes the Universe steps in and puts you back on the right path. You can't go wrong if you listen it may not seem right for you at the moment but in the long run it always is.

Pendulum Work
Last night, Halloween, the earth was "supercharged" with the energy of Spirit. It was prime for manifestation and connection. I took full advantage of this opportunity to connect and when I arrived home after work, lit candles, put on my meditation music and got out my pendulum. I have rarely seen it so accurate and precise. Stopping on a dime once my question was answered. Some answers were surprising, causing me to go back over them worded differently, some answers were not so surprising, just more confirmation to what I already knew.
One thing I do know for sure, and I am very aware of is holding perfectly still and not manipulating the swing myself. I've tested this and know what it takes to make the pendulum swing. When you see it start moving on it's own knowing full well you are as still as possible it's an amazing sight. Not for the unpracticed to be certain.
With my intention set and my pendulum in hand I set about manifesting. Some things will happen quickly somethings will take time, but of this I'm certain, things will happen. The answers were the strongest they have ever been and my connection was solid. I have never seen my pendulum move so precisely. It would be absolutely still, I would ask a question and after a moment begin to move and once the question was fully answered it would stop, and by stop I don't mean wind down I mean stop dead as it someone grabbed it and stopped it. Fascinating.
It would also go from one movement say a circle (yes) to straight up and down (no) without so much as a pause yet change direction again as if someone had a hold of it. The movements weren't smooth like when I spin or swing it. They were erratic and precise.
How accurate the answers are will depend on what I do to facilitate my requests. The pendulum can't give advice it's simply yes, no, maybe or no answer. How I proceed with the information I receive is completely up to me, it's relative to my actions or inaction. If I choose to NOT listen or follow through then why bother asking right? I see this as the ultimate tool for receiving guidance the path I choose is exactly that, my choice.

Meditation, Why It's So Important
There are several forms of meditation. For the purpose of this blog I'm going to talk about meditation that connects you to God, Spirit, Ascended Masters, Guides or passed loved ones. To anyone who has passed over and is working in the light towards the higher good of mankind.
This is not a scary thing, this is a very relaxing mind expanding enlightening experience if you do it right. Yes there is a wrong way and it can result in unpleasant experiences and be down right dangerous if you are inexperienced in meditation and connecting to Spirit.
ALWAYS start off with thanks and humble requests for Spirit to join you, to place a circle of protection around you to clear and shield your energy and most of all to only invite in those light workers and higher vibration guides, teachers etc. This I cannot emphasise enough. If you don't do this you open yourself up to low level energies who seek only to rob you of your energy and play games with your mind. Not a good thing at all.
Another important task when beginning your meditation is to ground your energy solidly to the earth. Not so solidly as to feel like you are made of cement. Just enough that you don't get dizzy when you raise your own vibration to meet that of Spirit, also an uncomfortable feeling for sure.
Clearing and balancing your chakras is a little more advanced and takes practice to get it just right, requesting Spirit clear and balance you is a great start, they know what they are doing. It is important though to eventually learn this technique so you can monitor them through out the day and to know when you feel them you are being sent a message you should listen to.
Once you are solidly grounded you can open your crown chakra and feel yourself or even visualise a miniature version of yourself being beamed in a pure white light from the top of your head up to the universe. You will know when you have arrived because you will feel lighter and will have broken through a membrane of sorts that contributed to pressure on the top of your head.
Where you land when you reach this point is up to you. It can be anything your heart desires as long as it is welcoming and you feel safe. This is the place you will meet your guides, teachers, loved ones or anyone you may want to connect with. There are several ascended masters available for you to connect with if you have a specific question or concern.
One thing you will notice when you are deep in meditation is the inability to feel your body, it literally is an "out of body" experience. You can stay here as long as you like, but after a time you will intuitively know it's time to return. This is also the point in your meditation where you may receive messages or you can request information to be sent to you in a way you will recognize. I use this time to cleanse my pendulum and request clear and concise information from Spirit as it is Spirit who is manipulating my pendulum not me. Enjoy this time and take as long as you like.
When you are done your meditation it's time to close, be sure to ask for healing for EVERYONE you know even people you don't like or don't really know. Ask for healing for ALL mankind and for the earth. This is so important and it's a great opportunity to take part in the cosmic shift that is coming. No the world is not ending, it's just changing and this way we can ensure it changes for the better. Always keep your thoughts positive and your intentions pure and you will keep your vibration and energy at a healthy level. Remember to thank God, Spirit and all those who joined you, as well as requesting the circle of protection remain intact until the next time you meditate. Just a little added measure.
I have to say, as I was driving home I was feeling so bad about my life and where I am right now and wasn't even planning on meditating, I was in fact going to park in front of the TV with a bottle of wine and drown my sorrows. I'm glad I decided to meditate instead because I feel so much better about life and what the future holds for me. I'm no longer down and feeling depressed, I'm confident and happy, all thanks to meditation and my ability to connect with Spirit.

Choose Peace
One thing I've learned with my spiritual growth is to listen to the messages I receive. In the past I've fallen short and not listened. But lately there have been some incidents that would normally bring out the worst in me and I've chosen to send them off with love and light for God and the universe to take care of.
Believe me, there has been a truck load of crap going on that would have sparked a hugely negative reaction from me.
This morning when I did my three card spread for the day from my Ascended Masters deck the first card I got was "Choose Peace". Interestingly enough I thought to myself, I'm going to get into a conflict with someone. Sure enough it happened. I read something that completely rubbed me the wrong way, written by someone who completely rubs me the wrong way and I was poised to strike. Then I remembered, "Choose Peace" so I am. (The other two cards were "Drink More Water" (d-oh) and "Work Your Magic").
So to God and the universe I ask.
"Please help this person see the damage they cause with their words, please help them realise that their actions, thoughts and words bring to them an equally negative reaction. That they are the direct cause of all that plagues them and if they were to cease putting out to the universe all the negative that haunts them and replace it with appreciation and gratitude for what they do have, they will know peace and serenity and the graces afforded to them by God and the universe. They will receive the abundance they deserve." I send this to God and the universe with love and light that they may receive.

Website and New Direction
So a few years ago I was working on getting an Intuitive Techniques Development class going at a local book store. Unfortunately that book store closed a few months after the initial plan was hatched so, no go.
That's ok, I believe everything happens for a reason and that wasn't the right time for me to start this.
Now is the time. I've had some opportunities present themselves and I'm testing the waters. The original venue that I was thinking would work I just found out won't. That's ok too because there will be something more suitable for the purpose of this set of classes that will present itself when the time is right. Until then I will keep working towards my goal, I will develop my website and if I have to I'll hold the classes in my house as small and cramped as it is this will work out because I'm being pushed hard in that direction.
So for the time being I'll plod alone building my site and finding the right venue for these classes. I'll put it out there and see what happens.

The Importance Of Clearing, Shielding And Protecting Your Energy.
I cannot stress enough to everyone out there the importance of clearing, shielding and protecting your energy. Protect yourself from low level or negative energy and in doing so free yourself from being constantly dragged down by individuals who have this type of energy attached to them.
It's really easy to do, you simply ask. You can speak out loud or you can say a quiet prayer in you mind. You can say something like this.
"I would like to humbly request that my energy be cleared and shielded, that a circle of protection be placed around me and that only those beings working in the light towards the betterment of mankind be invited into my circle and that my energy vibration be raised to meet theirs. Thank you, amen." I always say amen at the end because in my mind I am asking the highest power to protect me. You don't have to end it this way, just be sure to say thank you at the very least. Gratitude is always rewarded.
The reason you want to do this is because there is a lot, and I mean A-LOT of low level entities out there looking for weak willing souls to steal energy from. This energy can make you physically ill if you let too much in. It can also be the source of nightmares or trouble sleeping. Always keeping your thoughts and your visualization of your energy, how you see your energy, in a higher positive vibration will protect you from these energy leaches.
And don't just think that only those low entities in spirit can rob you of your energy. There are plenty of people on this plain who can do that to you to. They are usually however attached to some form of low energy to begin with. These people seem to only take, and drain our energy. I'm sure you know more than your fair share. Just remember clearing and shielding will protect you from them as well. This doesn't mean you'll be invisible to them it just means they won't be able to drain you of your positive energy. The more often you do this the less they will come around because they are not getting what they really want from you.
You can also remotely request this for family and friends whom you know may be struggling. You can do this for your children, however they are least likely to need it because they are naive to the ways of the world and are generally working at a higher vibration as it is. You will find however if they have been through a trauma, illness or are stressed it would be a good idea to send them healing, clearing and shielding just to be sure they are protected.
Teenagers on the other hand need a constant stream of these intentions just to keep them sane these days. Everything they do is energy draining. Dealing with each other, with unreasonable parents ;) demanding teachers and all the electronic gadgets they have plugged into their heads. They are usually coasting at a dangerously low vibration and are susceptible to having something attach to them that normally couldn't only a few short years ago.
So, to everyone reading this. I challenge you. Once you're done, clear, shield and protect yourself, then clear, shield and protect everyone you know who needs this, which will be everyone. And as a little bonus, try it on your pets. You might find, after a while they will be more affectionate towards you. Animals are very sensitive to our energy and they LOVE positive energy, they'll pick up on it right away.
Don't expect and overnight change, and don't expect to not have set backs, we are human and as the saying goes misery loves company. With that in mind keep at it until it turns in to happiness love company. And remember, there is only so much you can do, it's up to the individual to want to accept and do their part to raise their own vibration. The mind is a very powerful tool, use it.

They are usually coasting at a dangerously low vibration and are susceptible to having something attach to them that normally couldn't only a few short years ago.
So, to everyone reading this. I challenge you. Once you're done, clear, shield and protect yourself, then clear, shield and protect everyone you know who needs this, which will be everyone. And as a little bonus, try it on your pets. You might find, after a while they will be more affectionate towards you. Animals are very sensitive to our energy and they LOVE positive energy, they'll pick up on it right away.
Don't expect and overnight change, and don't expect to not have set backs, we are human and as the saying goes misery loves company. With that in mind keep at it until it turns in to happiness love company. And remember, there is only so much you can do, it's up to the individual to want to accept and do their part to raise their own vibration. The mind is a very powerful tool, use it.

His People Are Blue
I've only told a handful of people this story because it's not really something most in our society subscribe to. That's ok, everyone is entitled to their beliefs and their opinion. I'm sharing now because it's an interesting story for one and it might be helpful to those who question our origins in the first place. I for one strongly believe in reincarnation, not the Buddhist type who believe you can come back as a fly. Once human always human, at least that's what I thought.
Many years ago, my ex and I were in Pentiction for the funeral of a dear friend of my family's. This woman was very spiritual and gifted with psychic ability, so it seemed fitting that one of her friends also attending the funeral, a practicing medium would agree to do a reading for me right there in the funeral home after the ceremony.
I questioned this and she explained, "what better place than this?" I had not yet embarked on my own spiritual journey so I really had no idea about how spirit and the universe worked. She did.
The way she read was through psychometry. This is the practice of reading using a belonging of the person being read for, in my case she used my wedding ring. She went through the usual I've heard before. Nothing she said was surprising except for the fact that I had never met this woman before in my life and before this day she had never known of me.
What really convinced me of her abilities, and not until later when we arrived home from Penticton, was the story I'm about to tell you.
My son has issues. When this reading occurred he was still in preschool, maybe just going on four maybe five, I would have to check when the funeral was to be sure but it's really irrelevant to the story, just know he was very young but old enough to communicate. We had been to different doctors trying to figure out what was wrong with him, he just didn't seem normal. If there is such a thing with kids these days. In comparison to kids his age he was delayed. He was also fearless and unbelievably active, he was a handful to say the least. And had the uncanny knack of knowing when I was talking about him even if he was outside and out of ear shot he would always show up and hover whether I was talking to the neighbour or on the phone with my mother, he always knew when I was talking to him.
I even tested this theory. I was talking to my mom for a length of time and purposely didn't mention him or his name. Then I switched the conversation, let my mom know what I was doing. I watched out the bedroom window on the second floor, he was playing quite actively with the neighbours kids in the playground behind our townhouse in New West. After about a minute of me talking to my mom about him specifically he stopped what he was doing and walked into the house as if guided by some invisible force. Next thing I know, he's standing next to me, not saying anything just there in the room with me listening. This happened time and time again. Not the "I'm on the phone and NOW you need to ask me something" situation, he would just listen to what I had to say about him.
The medium described my son as if she knew him well she new about the phone thing, she even saw his blue teddy bear and his matching blue blanket, (baby blue is the best way to describe it) he went everywhere with Blue Bear, it was given to him by my father in law the day he was born. Blue Bear still to this day exists if only as a memento to his childhood. He will be officially a teenager in just over a week. Blue Bear has reached retirement age now to convince my son of this.
What she asked me to do when I got home and had a quiet moment with my son was to ask him what colour his people were. Seemed like an odd request but she believed that he wasn't from this galaxy and that this place is too slow for him but he's here to learn from us as a human. He's struggling to adjust to this planet and being human. So shocked as I was to hear my son might have been an alien I should have thanked the crazy lady and left. But I didn't because it really rang true to me. I got goose bumps and for me that's a sign that something I'm hearing is correct, to heed what I'm feeling and being told.
I had my opportunity to ask him that night after his bath. He was lying on my bed as I toweled him off to get him in his pajamas. He was quiet relaxed and I stopped and looked at him. I asked him point blank "..what colour are your people?" He looked up at me and after a brief moment of silence, smiled, all he said was "blue". He didn't ignore the question he didn't think it strange he didn't question why I was asking all he said was "blue" The exact colour the medium told me he would say.
Funny, reading this now and knowing him and what he's been through, how he thinks and processes information even the "experts" can't fully understand him and why he is the way he is. They chalk it down to immaturity, I think he's really still figuring out this human existence. He's so full of questions about EVERYTHING and will ask the same question a few different ways until he understands. His brain is wired differently that's obvious and yes his official diagnosis is ADHD and yes he is medicated during the day to help with focus. My son without his medication is a nightmare to deal with, and even his saintly patient mother can only take so much.
He's here in human form to teach me how to be a better mother and person, to ascend to a higher level of patients and tolerance. Anyone in his midst is almost forced at gun point to be patient with him. It's not an easy task believe me this kid is annoying at times. But so kind and lovable, funny and so smart on a whole different level, one that is not easily measured. I'm sure however there are those you you reading this and thinking "yup she's lost it" I assure you, I'm of sound mind and this is this only explanation I have been given that even remotely explains why he is the way he is. I know ADHD kids who are relatively normal, one of my son's friends is ADHD as well and I can tell you this kid is normal, even he has trouble at times understanding my son and they have the same diagnosis.
The funny thing with all this is the social stigma. My sister told me after I initially told her all of this not to tell too many people because I'm going to come across as crazy, well at the risk of sounding like a complete loon here you go, the story of my son. Believe it if you want, think I'm crazy if you want it's really of no consequence to me I'm entitled to believe what I want just as much as the next guy. I've told this story to my son and he thinks it's hysterical. Of course he doesn't remember telling me his people are blue, he was too little but he gets a kick out of it now and it doesn't bother him, like I said he thinks it's funny.
I have a challenge for all you parents of young children, preschool age is best. When you have a quiet moment and they seem placid. Ask your child "what colour are your people" I bet you'd be surprised at their answer. If they question you or think it an odd request, they are likely human and probably pretty normal if they seem not quiet as normal as you would expect then maybe, just maybe they are visiting from another universe and it is you who have been granted this gift and have a very big lesson to learn.
After all, it is with great arrogance that we believe we are all alone in our universe.

Belief
One of the purposes of belief is to give us hope.
You are what you believe and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that as long as what you believe is not used to judge, condem or harm others. You can not shove your beliefs down the throats of others and you must be accepting and tollerant of the beliefes of others as long as their beliefs in turn conform to this simple rule.
When we cross that line we create conflict in the name of our beliefs. When we justify our bad behaviour in the name of our beliefs we are ultimately wrong. No question about it there is nothing good about hurting others in the name of our beliefs. They stop being a tool of hope and become a tool of destruction be it physical or mental/emotional. When your beliefs cause hurt you are no longer being true to the purpose of your belief.
I've given a lot of brain space to the content of this subject and what I can surmise is this. No matter what you believe you are entitled to believe what you want. You are neither right or wrong any more than the next guy. You are not entitled to condem your neighbour because they do not subscribe to your beliefs but rather are expected to accept and embrace your differences. You were not put on this earth to judge the beliefs of others but to monitor your actions based on your own beliefs.
I find it quite disturbing to hear intolerance by individuals who claim to have firm beliefs yet can not fathom the possibility that someone else may not actually subscirbe to their set of beliefs and therefore must be evil and wrong. They are not wrong they are just different. And certainly not for you to judge and condem. Who's to say it isn't you who is wrong?
As I mentioned in the begining the purpose of belief is hope. When your beliefs cause harm they are no longer valid beliefs but the opinion of your own ego. When your ego over whelms your belief then you are no longer in seach of hope but rather guided only to elevate your own ego and abandon the essence of your belief most times without realising it.
Hold true to your beliefs, do not judge or condem others for theirs and when faced with injustices from others in the name of their beliefs know this. They are no longer guided by their beliefs but by their ego and that is not conducive to their beliefs but rather and indication that they have abondoned the essence and nature of their beliefs for personal gain. They are not as enlightend as those individuals who hold true to their beliefs and not let ego get in the way. Be sure of this, if you can face an ego driven individual and not fall to your own ego, you are a highly evolved individual and you will always have hope.

My Pendulum And Me
We have a great relationship, my pendulum and me. No matter how much time passes it's programming is still spot on and our connection is as strong as ever.
One benefit of having my kids at their dad's, albeit reluctantly for my son, is time to meditate and work with my pendulum. It's a great guide for me and the answers I receive are though at times not what I want to see but what I need to see. It really puts things in perspective for me.
Monday night I had a few hours alone in the house and I took advantage of this time by meditating and hauling out my pendulum. I have two, one that is entirely silver and the other is silver and amethyst, that one I use when the focus is healing. The silver pendulum is my first, it's the one I learned on and it holds a special connection to spirit.
There are many theories on how pendulums work and some disbelief in the thought that they work at all. Until you actually have, dedicate, program and work with a pendulum there is no easy way to describe how they work, just that they do work.
When I use my pendulum, I cleans it first and for most, I set my intention and for good measure I check it's programming. What I mean is, the way a pendulum swings tells you your answers. YOU as the holder programmes the pendulum the first time you use it. This is so very important and until you're familiar with the swings you should write them down.
There are four basic answers you can expect, yes, no, maybe, and no answer. Initially I had only programmed the first three my pendulum chose the last one. When spirit is unsure, unable or unwilling to answer a question my pendulum would point straight down and quiver. Took a while to figure out what was going on but eventually I clued in and we now have the four answers.
One very important thing to remember is you are not moving the pendulum, you hold as still as you can. I use both hands bracing my right with my left to ensure as little of my motion as possible. The pendulum also is not moving on it's own, there is someone in spirit affecting the energy around the pendulum causing it to swing based on the answers.
I made this mistake early on until I was "clued in" to whom exactly was doing the work. And it's hard work for spirit to manipulate a seemingly simple object. I will never forget the rush of euphoria when I realised it was my closest guide answering my questions, not this inanimate object I was holding. Believe me I was very apologetic.
What is truly amazing is watching the pendulum change directions from one answer to the next or to watch a perfectly still pendulum start moving, seemingly on it's own. I know what it feels like to start it spinning or swinging, I've tested it, I also know how to stop it myself, all these mechanical movements by me are very different from when spirit is moving it.
ALSO I have tried to will it to move, you know using telekinesis, ya, it doesn't work, I'm not willing it to move in my desired direction. If I could do that I should be able to move other objects and sadly I can't.
It still amazes me to watch my pendulum in action. Spinning clock wise for yes, up and down for no and side to side for maybe. There was no rhyme or reason to the programming, it's what worked for my guide at the time and is still strongly set in the pendulum for anyone else in spirit wanting to make a connection. Oh, that's another thing, I've had a variety of helpers from the other side including my grandmother and a complete stranger trying their hand at it. Fascinating all of it.

Tarot Cards
After many years of inactivity I recently dug out my Universal Waite Tarot Cards. Why? Well, I'll tell you.
Why not. I've taken a workshop on their meanings and how to use them properly. I've always been fascinated with Tarot and the messages held within. So I figure, what's stopping me from dabbling again? Absolutely nothing, time maybe but really that's irrelevant.
So... what does this mean, not much, and probably pointless even mentioning it but maybe as a side hobby you will find me at a local alternative book store giving readings. I'm a little ways off for that at the moment but...you never know what's in the cards.

Intention Setting
So you want to manifest something good into your life? Did you set your intention or are you just asking? You need a damn good reason for spirit to help you manifest otherwise just asking is going to net you zilch. Nicely put, I think.
Do you want to change your job or your relationship? Do you know what you want for a job? Do you know how you want your relationship to change? Did you set your intention before you asked for these changes? If not you will probably not get what you expect.
If your intention is to make a substantial change to the amount of money you make in your job. You have to send your resumes to companies who you feel will provide you with the income you desire. With this action your intention set you've let the universe know what you plan on doing to help manifest this chance and now they too know the direction you want to head. You have to do the work too, you have to make an effort whether it's physically (resume writing and sending) and mentally with positive affirmations of what you are manifesting you need equal the universes effort.
Most importantly though you need GRATITUDE.
I can not stress enough how important this is. You must be grateful for what you have already been given even if it's not quite what you wanted. Otherwise you come off as a spoilt child and why would they want to help you? You're never happy or appreciative.
Sometimes we set intentions without realising it. Our subconscious could already be working on it. When ssituations and events occur out of the blue and we are left wondering what the heck happened you can thank your subconscious for that. You must try to control your subconscious. Sounds like a difficult task? Well it is. So much of our lives are influenced by our subconscious that once you tap into it and monitor it you will be surprised. I will try to explain.
Do you know someone who no matter how much they try they just can't catch a break? Maybe they have had a run of really rotten luck. Can you think of something they might be doing to bring this upon themselves? Do they say "Oh whoa is me" ok that's too obvious, try this. Do they loose their temper at the drop of a hat, do they only see the bad in others or always wondering what your "angle" is do they have a suspicious nature? What do you think they are manifesting with their subconscious? You put out negative vibes you get negative back.
Personal example.
I worked for a company years ago and the job I was hired to do was not what I ended up doing and because of this I loathed going to work every day. If it wasn't for the fact that I needed the job and all the perks that went with it I probably would have quit. Instead I bad mouthed the company to anyone who would listen, not a smart move and I didn't do it with the intention of getting "fired" remember in my mind I needed this job even though I hated it. My subconscious took over and did the work for me. This was long before I had read the book "The Secret" I had no idea I was manifesting my destiny. I mentioned this in my previous blog Divine Guidance because I did, on the day I was given the golden handshake, ask that "I not be here anymore". All the work my subconscious did in the months leading up to this and my simple request for it to be over worked. I was shocked! Relieved but shocked just the same.
So you see always be clear of your intention, always keep your subconscious in check always think positive and most importantly always show your gratitude. So many of us sit in misery wondering when will it be our turn, it's always our turn, good happens all the time simultaneously and the only reason good is not happening to you is because you are preventing it. You are not holding up your end of the bargain and maybe just maybe you really believe you are undeserving, check your subconscious on that one.

If your intention is to make a substantial change to the amount of money you make in your job. You have to send your resumes to companies who you feel will provide you with the income you desire. With this action your intention set you've let the universe know what you plan on doing to help manifest this chance and now they too know the direction you want to head. You have to do the work too, you have to make an effort whether it's physically (resume writing and sending) and mentally with positive affirmations of what you are manifesting you need equal the universes effort.
Most importantly though you need GRATITUDE.
I can not stress enough how important this is. You must be grateful for what you have already been given even if it's not quite what you wanted. Otherwise you come off as a spoilt child and why would they want to help you? You're never happy or appreciative.
Sometimes we set intentions without realising it. Our subconscious could already be working on it. When ssituations and events occur out of the blue and we are left wondering what the heck happened you can thank your subconscious for that. You must try to control your subconscious. Sounds like a difficult task? Well it is. So much of our lives are influenced by our subconscious that once you tap into it and monitor it you will be surprised. I will try to explain.
Do you know someone who no matter how much they try they just can't catch a break? Maybe they have had a run of really rotten luck. Can you think of something they might be doing to bring this upon themselves? Do they say "Oh whoa is me" ok that's too obvious, try this. Do they loose their temper at the drop of a hat, do they only see the bad in others or always wondering what your "angle" is do they have a suspicious nature? What do you think they are manifesting with their subconscious? You put out negative vibes you get negative back.
Personal example.
I worked for a company years ago and the job I was hired to do was not what I ended up doing and because of this I loathed going to work every day. If it wasn't for the fact that I needed the job and all the perks that went with it I probably would have quit. Instead I bad mouthed the company to anyone who would listen, not a smart move and I didn't do it with the intention of getting "fired" remember in my mind I needed this job even though I hated it. My subconscious took over and did the work for me. This was long before I had read the book "The Secret" I had no idea I was manifesting my destiny. I mentioned this in my previous blog Divine Guidance because I did, on the day I was given the golden handshake, ask that "I not be here anymore". All the work my subconscious did in the months leading up to this and my simple request for it to be over worked. I was shocked! Relieved but shocked just the same.
So you see always be clear of your intention, always keep your subconscious in check always think positive and most importantly always show your gratitude. So many of us sit in misery wondering when will it be our turn, it's always our turn, good happens all the time simultaneously and the only reason good is not happening to you is because you are preventing it. You are not holding up your end of the bargain and maybe just maybe you really believe you are undeserving, check your subconscious on that one.

As It Sits With Me
Saturday I had a reading with my favourite Medium who is visiting for the month from Alberta. What she saw for me was as usual frighteningly accurate and it has left me with a lot to ponder.
Our future isn't exactly carved in stone as some may believe. We do have the ability to manipulate outcomes. Now you can argue that decisions you make today will set in motion events of the future and that is what is carved in stone but we do have options, we have a choice of paths to follow. Some paths with many detours.
Letting the cards fall where they may will produce one outcome. Taking an active roll and being pro-active will produce something entirely different. It is ultimately your choice. Then there is the almighty "Wishful Thinking" what we manifest with our thoughts. Be careful what you wish for because they are listening and working towards your desires, no matter the course of action you take the final outcome may not be as expected because of your thoughts.
I recall an incident where I got what I asked for just hours before it came to fruition. This was shocking at the time but when I looked back I had to admit to myself, "this was exactly what I asked for." All in all it was for the best. What if it wasn't though? Would the outcome have been different? I really don't know, I would assume yes it would have been different but there is no way of ever knowing. Once something is done and in your past it cannot be undone. Only the future is mailable.
So for my future, it's up to me how to proceed. I have to align my thoughts with my desires of what I want to see happening in my life, it's up to me to ask and receive no matter what anyone else thinks of my decisions. I have great faith that I will not be handed anything I cannot handle and that whatever my future holds it is for my greater good. After all it is my future regardless of who it includes.

Divine Guidance
Every morning, well almost every morning, I do a three card spread with my Ascended Masters Cards by Dr. Doreen Virtue. They are beautifully illustrated and all the messages contained within are positive and affirming. I do this for daily or weekly guidance. For a little insight into what is going on for me at any given moment.
There are times when the cards I draw are not what I'm hoping for, it just doesn't work that way. I'm given what I need for that particular moment or for a particular question or situation I'm dealing with. Out of the entire deck there are cards that I pull up consistently until I make necessary changes to my life and the message is pretty darn clear.
Detach From Drama was consistent until recently when I did just that. Balance Career and Home Life comes up often I'm unsure where the imbalance is so I'm working on that. Find The Blessing In Your Current Situation another regular visitor, maybe I'm being a little ungrateful? See The Other Persons Point Of View, this one is the most difficult because it requires I put my personal opinion aside and accept the other point of view regardless of whether I agree or not. I struggle with this one, sometimes.
Needless to say one of my favourite re-occurring cards is Flow Of Prosperity, this one always results in financial gain for me. Even if it's only a couple of bucks, it's still gain. This one came up today in the middle of the three card spread so it's immediate. The first card is immediate past, yesterday. Centre is present, today and third is immediate future, tomorrow. Depending on how often you do your spread and the time frame you set as your intention. I look usually with in a week at most.
One thing to keep in mind. I'm not trying to foretell my future. I'm looking for guidance and insight into issues or concerns or just guidance in general. I sometimes ask "what should I be focused on" or "just a little direction please", rather than a specific question. I have unwavering faith that Spirit will only give me what I need at that particular time. This is no different than prayer. People pray for guidance, I do. People pray for insight and help with difficult situations. These cards are just specific answers offered by a higher power. It's visual listening. People pray but do they hear the answer? This is just another connection for me to see/read/hear the answers to my prayers, questions or concerns. Nothing more.
Yet there are those out there who frown upon this. Say it's witchcraft or occultism. The thing is everything is done with love and light with God in mind and heart and none of the messages are negative in any way. The Ascended Masters include Jesus and Mary so I can't see how this is in anyway evil? They also include Buddha, Vishnu, Archangel Michael, St. Francis and several other well known hero's of humanity and span many religions and beliefs. So I challenge anyone to tell me this is anything but good. I don't use it for evil, that's impossible as the messages are positive to the nth degree.
Read the bible, it's got some pretty scary passages designed to control the masses with the "Fear of God". I've been close to God and there is no fear only overwhelming love, more so than one can imagine without having experience it. My God is not scary, my God is loving and forgiving and accepting of EVERYONE! Do not kid yourself, you are not more worthy because you go to church, you are just a person who goes to church. It's simply your faith that connects you to God, not a building.
Divine Guidance comes in many forms. It's what we do with it that makes the difference. We can choose to ignore it because it's not what we asked for at that moment. It's still there though, waiting for you to make that shift from stubborn child to accepting adult. Divine Guidance will repeat itself until it is followed, you may as well concede from the start because there is no changing what's best for you.

Chrysalis
Last night marked the beginning of a significant transformation for me. This is not the first time I've experienced this shift but it is far more important than the first time. This time it's life altering.
I've been here before but I was a different person at the time, I was ignorant to the ways of Spirit and the Universe I was like a new born baby growing into and learning all I could to make this important transformation and for a time I lived this transformed life. A life I chose to live, I was divinely guided through some very difficult times without this guidance painful decisions would have been devastating.
This time around I'm not so naive. I know the drill, the "Whole Nine Yards" as I was taught and I know what sits well for me and with me. I know this yet I let events of the past four years shake my faith in all I know. I let go of my beliefs and I let negative low energy thoughts and feelings invade my existence and I faltered. It's not a fun place to be, it's painful physically and emotionally it's exhausting it's a place of darkness and sorrow, it's not where I wanted to be but found myself.
Last night was the beginning of the end of this wrong existence for me. I have some work ahead but I know I am supported and loved and most of all guided and the relief I feel is overwhelming. So much so that I don't think my heart and soul can stand it. I know they will, it's just a new, old feeling, it's painful in a really good way.
I was most privileged to be included in a meditation circle with probably one of the most wonderful women walking this planet, her knowledge, compassion and insight are an inspiration to anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting her. Her guidance is invaluable and I am happy to call her my friend and mentor. She taught me so much about spirit and the universe and about my roll in all of this. She's here in Vancouver for only a short while but her visit, for me, could not have come at a more crucial time. Without realising it, I needed her and her guidance more than I could have imagined.
So about last night. Our meditation was focused on healing. Healing of ourselves. She was guided to do this with us and now I understand why and how very profound it all is. We were instructed to focus on areas we need healing in. First was our physical being, those little nagging aches and pains. Second was our mental well being, the negative thoughts and worries that plague us daily. Third was emotional, again more so than the mental it's our overall emotional well being. Fourth was our "divine will" I understood this as our beliefs and faith. And finally our ethereal connection to God, Spirit and the Universe.
The idea in this exercise was to start in the physical and work up through our aura to the outermost layer repairing damage with the help of those in the Spirit world this was their promise to us last night. As I sat in the darkened room with eight other women all of us working on our own "issues" I was overwhelmed. The feeling of every single emotion that I have dealt with over the past four years was being tugged and pulled from my body and replaced with peace and love. So much so it was all I could do to keep from breaking down and sobbing out loud.
I sat in silence fighting back tears I had no control of. Feeling the work being done on me and around me, feeling the cocoon forming, protecting me and having my ethereal aura re-connected to the highest power, God. Yes I have witnessed the Divine Creator and this isn't the first time either. Each and every time it's the same it's overwhelming and unimaginable, to put into words the depth of emotion one feels in God's presence is to be experienced on explained. I had forgotten, I had let all that was going on around me over shadow what I already knew. We are not alone, we are cared for and loved UNCONDITIONALLY and we will always be accepted no matter what our circumstance on this earthly plain throws at us.
Whether you believe or not is your choice. I'm only relaying what I experienced. What I was told from the start of this exercise was that ALL my issues start with my connection to God, Spirit and the Universe and that once that is repaired the rest will follow suite. The pain I feel in my physical is directly caused by my mental, emotional, spiritual and faith disconnect. I have reconnected and all is well...or all will be well, this process isn't quite done. I expect by next week I shall emerge from this Chrysalis an brand new Butterfly with glorious wings and a light withing that all will see.

Paths
I have had allot of messages lately about my path. Finding who I am and following what I was sent here to do. But what exactly is that? I'm still wondering, still searching.
When I embarked on my spiritual journey as it were it was purely to explore alternatives to conventional religion and beliefs. I've always been a strong believer in astrology. Not the daily horoscope but the science of it and how it profiles individuals. When you look at all components of astrology you can easily identify individuals by their sign and understand their behaviour. It's really fascinating.
I've learned allot over the years. A lot about myself and why I am the way I am. But I yet to find my true calling. I've been told and believe I have healing abilities. I had begun working on this gift but lost momentum as life and reality took over. I still need to find my modality, it's out there and it will present itself when the time is right this I firmly believe. For now I listen and watch for those signs and I look everywhere for my path. It's there it's just blocked for the time being.
I know with time and patients all will be revealed and I will be ready for it. I still have a tonne of work to do before that day arrives. I have so much to learn and experience it seems overwhelming but if I take it one day at a time I will achieve my goal. Thing is I need to define that goal and I'm struggling to put my finger on it.

Starting Over
This is the third time I have created this particular blog on this site. My first was lost due to the site having to go back to before I created this blog because of a technical problem. I have been blogging here for a few years now and have never encountered so many problems.
The second time I created it all was well for two days then BAM! I can't get into my blog at all! It's not just me either, there are a few other people having issues too this time I'm not sure if it can be fixed so I decided to re-create this one particular blog and put all the rest aside. I did manage to export my original blog back before I changed it the first time so I have everything I've ever written on my computer. I've learned the hard way, BACKUP no matter what you are doing.
Some times I wonder if the universe is trying to tell me something making it difficult for me to get into my old blog. Maybe I do need to start over with a clean slate and only blog about the positive parts of my life and not dwell on the past. Let the past go, I typed it all out in my old blog and now it's time to retire it. OK! Done!
So from this moment on I dedicate this blog to my journey of enlightenment. A Guided Life is just that a journey into all things spiritual for me. What I experience along the way, my thoughts and feelings and an opportunity to share it with my readers. Take from it what you will, it's being offered with open hands.
